Marriage

Matrimony is celebrated between a man and a woman after premarital instructions, which can take several months for a couple free to marry according to the laws of the Catholic Church.  If either party is not free to marry according to the laws of the Catholic Church (for example a divorce is involved), it could take several years. It is extremely important to talk to the Pastor immediately after the engagement takes place and before wedding dates and other plans are made.
